In an emergency

• Police and Fire: 10111
• Medical: 10177
• From mobile: 112

It is important to know local emergency numbers for your own area as well. Memorise these and make sure your children know what to do and whom to call in an emergency as well.

Childsafe is proud to present a range of brochures and other educational materials available to the public, much of it free of charge. Please see our online brochures , see the order form for additional information, or come to our office for the most up-to-date supply.

Our Safety section includes Crisis Centres details as well as other important centres throughout South Africa.

The appropriate products section covers water related devices, a check list for use by play schools etc, as well as appropriate safety devices for children in motor vehicles.

Our statistics page is indicative of the details available to members of Childsafe. Perhaps one of the most staggering facts is that most serious injuries occur in vehicles travelling below 80 km/Hour.

Web sites which expand on these topics can be found on our Links Page .
